How Generation X Entrepreneurs Choose to Consume Content (Part 2 – The Results!)

One thing about our generation that makes us stand out from others, as we discussed in our last edition,  is the way we consume content. We’re more likely to seek valuable information and take action on it rather than read long-form articles or watch lengthy videos, so I guess you could say these are quick reads for someone who’s looking and just wants some good advice!

Last edition we went into this quite a bit with words, but I had published a link to a survey with that last edition, and I would like to share some of the results here with you today.

I have to admit that I am pretty surprised that “Scrolling Social Media” and “Read Online” came in tied dead equal.  I knew scrolling had gained some extreme traction…but I truly didn’t realize just how much my generation relies on it.  I tell my clients to make sure they are posting real value on social media all the time, but I guess I am not following my own advice well enough!  #TakeNoteForQ2

Ta-Da!  Bullets for the win!  But come on, we knew that right?  (I am the queen of impatience, I saw that one coming a mile away!)  Give me the dirt, make it actionable, easy to digest, and quick…and I will come back to you as a source of expert information in the future.

There was another “bonus question” that I asked people in my survey since I already had their attention.  I asked them, “What was one of the biggest pain points in your business right now?”  I will be saving those answers for future content – some of them were eye-opening for sure!  Do you want to still get your opinion heard?  I will put the link to that survey in the first comment for you to go vote.  I will leave it open until April 15th, and report back if the results change dramatically.
